Postpartum and Newborn Support
Our support doesn't stop after childbirth. We're here for postnatal check-ins to guide you through the postpartum period, ensuring both you and your baby stay happy and healthy. We provide tools and advice for a positive experience and help you recognize and address any post-delivery complications. Your well-being is our ongoing priority.

Facing a stillbirth and a fatal fetal diagnosis is devastating, and we're here to provide unwavering support. We assist in creating a compassionate birth plan and angel-baby care plan, guiding you through the laboring process. Throughout this time of grief, we stand by your side, offering support during after-birth processes and helping you cherish moments with your angel baby.

Marcia Jankee - Certified Birth and Pregnancy and Infant Loss Doula
My name is Marcia. Marcia means "warlike". Doula means "someone who serves". Those two words embody who I am and who I will be as your Certified Full Specturm Doula in the Charlotte Metro Area.
Black, Idigonous and other women of color have higher rates of pregnancy-related death compared to White women. Maternal and infant health disparities are symptoms of broader underlying social and economic inequities that are rooted in racism and discrimination. This does not mean that white women do not experience birth trauma from unnecessary medical intervention and lack of education. They do also!
The Birthing Bee was birthed from my overwhelming concern for women of color and their lack of access to support, education and equity in their birth experiences. As a mother of three boys and an angel baby from high-risk pregnacies of my own; I first handedly saw the need for ALL WOMEN, especially women of color, to have access the support, advocacy, and education for happy heathly pregnancies, births, and postpartum wellness.
I am passionate about bridging the gap and healing maternal inequities and disparities amongst black, indigenous, and other women of color through education and birthwork. Not to exclude ANY woman from ANY ethinic socioeconomic background. I champion INCLUSIVITY, EQUITY, CULTURAL COMPETENCY in the sacred birth space. I am passionate about rediscovering the essence of the sacred birthing experience.
